Profit hungry commercial dog breeders have established puppy mills where dogs are treated as commodities and bred in deplorable conditions. Puppy mill 'moms and dads' live in misery, being forced to produce one litter after another, and are commonly kept alone in small, cold, wire cages with little or no veterinary care for years on end.
February is the month of hearts. It takes A LOT of heart to rescue and care for puppy mill survivors. To commemorate the celebration of hearts, as well as the passion that drives supporters of our mission, National Mill Dog Rescue is launching the "We Are ONE Heart" campaign during the month of February and will be decorating Lily's Haven with hearts as a tribute from YOU!
